Knowledge base
Pages, files and answers your assistant learns from.
Open in dashboardThe knowledge base is what your assistant reads to answer questions about your store. Go to AI assistant > Knowledge base.
Products, prices, stock and your Shopify shipping and refund policies are read live from your store. You don't need to add them here.
Add store pages#
The fastest way to start. Works for Shopify stores.
Select Add page or file, then Store pages.
Check the selected pages
The pages shoppers ask about most, like FAQ, shipping, returns and size guides, are selected for you.
Turn on Include blog posts if your blog answers shopper questions.
Select Add pages
Your own store pages don't count toward your plan's source limit.
Add a web page#
Select Add page or file, then Web page.
Paste the page link
The page must be public.
Select Add page
To pick up changes on a page, open its menu and select Refresh.
Add a file#
Select Add page or file, then File. Upload text (.txt) or Markdown (.md) files, up to 2 MB each. You can add several at once.
Q&A#
A question with your own answer. The assistant uses it as written. Use Q&A for answers that aren't on any page.
Select Add Q&A
Enter the Question, like "Do you ship to Canada?", and your Answer.
Select Save Q&A
Answering an unanswered question or using Fix this reply in a test chat also saves a Q&A.
Remove a source#
Open the source's menu and select Remove. The assistant stops using it straight away. Select several to remove them together.
Limits#
| Free | Growth | Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extra pages and files per store | 5 | 50 | 500 |
| Sources added per day, all stores | 20 | 100 | 300 |
| Q&A per store | 1,000 | 1,000 | 1,000 |
Your own store pages and Q&A don't count toward extra pages and files. Adding the same link again updates it and doesn't count as a new source.
