# HubSpot

Connect HubSpot and shoppers who leave their email in the chat become contacts. Go to **Integrations > HubSpot**. On Growth and Pro, for Shopify and custom website stores. Each store has its own connection.

## What it does

- **A contact for each email.** When a shopper leaves their email for your team, gives it to the assistant or confirms a newsletter signup, the contact is created in HubSpot. If the email is already a contact, it's found, and its name is never overwritten.
- **A note on the contact** says how the email was given and links to the conversation in your dashboard.
- **Source and store.** Contacts get two fields: **Any Store AI source** (Any Store AI chat) and **Any Store AI store** (your store's name).

Contacts are sent in the background, usually within a few minutes. Test chats are never sent.

## Connect

1. **In HubSpot, create a private app.** Give it the scopes below and copy its access token.
2. **In Any Store AI, go to Integrations > HubSpot** and paste the token. We check it with HubSpot before saving it.

Without the optional scope, the source and store are written in the note instead.

## Log finished chats

Turn on **Log finished chats** to add each finished chat to the contact as a note, with a short transcript and the shopper's rating. A chat counts as finished when nobody has written for 30 minutes. It only covers chats where the shopper's email is known, from the moment you turn it on.

## If something goes wrong

- **Needs attention** means HubSpot stopped accepting the token, or a scope was removed. Fix it in HubSpot and select **Check connection**, or paste a new token.
- If HubSpot is busy or down, we try again a few times over the next hours.
- Disconnecting stops new contacts. Contacts and notes already in HubSpot stay.

> Deleting a shopper's data in Any Store AI doesn't remove their contact in HubSpot. Delete it there too.
